Walls of Fame
Marlene
Artwork by Roberto Sabatini
This photo is part of the 'Walls of Fame' series, where iconic artworks are reimagined through a contemporary perspective. Each meticulously crafted photo explores new visual narratives while honouring the essence of the original artwork.
In this particular photo, I interpreted Marlene Dietrich's pose in 'Shanghai Express' by Don English. Emulating the iconic actress's posture, which conveys strength and determination, I used a male doll to symbolise diversity and challenge traditional gender roles.
The 'Marlene' photo is printed on Canson Baryta 310 gsm paper, creating whiter whites and deeper blacks, while the silky smooth reflective coating enhances the detail and definition of the images.
The print includes a border, so if placed in a same-sized frame, no mounting is required. The border size is 22mm and if a larger border is preferred, I suggest considering placing the print in a bigger frame with the desired mounting size.
The print is part of a limited edition of 50 and it comes with a certificate of authenticity.
