The Song of Love
Artwork by Roberto Sabatini
This photo is part of the ‘Walls of Fame’ series, where iconic artworks are reimagined through a contemporary perspective. Each meticulously crafted photo explores new visual narratives while honouring the essence of the original artwork.
This photo is my interpretation of Giorgio De Chirico’s painting “The Song of Love.” This particular photo was quite a challenge for me, as I had to personally craft all the elements on the stage, including the head of Apollo. I was so pleased with the final result that I decided to create more versions of this head, which are available for purchase in my store.
The “The Song of Love” photo is printed on Canson Baryta 310 gsm paper, a bright white archival paper celebrated for its exceptional black density, vivid colour reproduction, and outstanding contrast. Its silky smooth, light gloss finish enhances the intricate details and elevates the visual quality of the image, perfectly complementing the surreal and sculptural elements of the scene. Printed using the Giclée process, this paper guarantees an archival lifespan of up to 80 years, ensuring the preservation of the artwork for generations.
Note: I am particularly attached to this picture, as it is the first image I made with a technical camera, allowing for precise control over the focus.
This print is part of a limited edition of 5 per size (30x40 cm and 60x80 cm) and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
A high-quality frame made from FSC®-certified wood is available in white or black. If selected, the frame comes ready to hang, offering a convenient and elegant way to display your limited edition print.
