Walls of Fame
Ophelia
Artwork by Roberto Sabatini
This photo is part of the ‘Walls of Fame’ series, where iconic artworks are reimagined through a contemporary perspective. Each meticulously crafted photo explores new visual narratives while honouring the essence of the original artwork.
This photo is my reinterpretation of Sir John Everett Millais’ painting ‘Ophelia,’ portraying Ophelia’s death. In my rendition, a doll becomes the subject, symbolising Ophelia’s inability to experience death, challenging the emotional weight of the original work.
The ‘Ophelia’ photo is printed on Canson Baryta 310 gsm paper, a bright white archival paper renowned for its exceptional black density, vibrant colour reproduction, and stunning contrast. Its silky smooth, light gloss finish enhances the intricate details, lending the image a polished and refined appearance. Printed using the Giclée process, the paper ensures an archival lifespan of up to 80 years, preserving the artwork’s visual quality and impact over time.
The print is part of a limited edition of 25 and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
A high-quality frame made from FSC®-certified wood is available in white or black. If selected, the frame comes ready to hang, offering a convenient and elegant way to display your limited edition print.
