Walls of Fame
Marlene
Artwork by Roberto Sabatini
This photo is part of the ‘Walls of Fame’ series, where iconic artworks are reimagined through a contemporary perspective. Each meticulously crafted photo explores new visual narratives while honouring the essence of the original artwork.
In this particular photo, I interpreted Marlene Dietrich’s pose in ‘Shanghai Express’ by Don English. Emulating the iconic actress’s posture, which conveys strength and determination, I used a male doll to symbolise diversity and challenge traditional gender roles.
The ‘Marlene’ photo is printed on Canson Baryta 310 gsm paper, a bright white paper celebrated for its exceptional black density, vivid colour reproduction, and striking contrast. The silky smooth, light gloss finish enhances the intricate details and creates a polished, professional look that elevates the image. Printed using the Giclée process, it ensures an archival life of up to 80 years, preserving the artwork’s quality and integrity for decades.
This print is part of a limited edition of 5 per size (30x40 cm and 60x80 cm) and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
A high-quality frame made from FSC®-certified wood is available in white or black. If selected, the frame comes ready to hang, offering a convenient and elegant way to display your limited edition print.
