The Handline series presents original photographs as a visual study of expression, a collection of intimate portraits where the hand becomes both voice and vessel.
Through this work, I aim to merge traditional photographic techniques with digital intervention and lyrical fragments, creating a space between the physical and the poetic, where each gesture reads like a verse left on the skin.

The aged hand, raised in the iconic “rock on” gesture, embodies both vitality and resistance, symbol of youthful energy held by a body shaped by time.
Overlaying the image, handwritten lines from La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini echo the voice of Mimì: fragile, creative, and quietly passionate.
By bringing together this sculptural hand and the loving lyricism of Puccini’s heroine, the piece invites reflection on the emotional permanence of youth, how it persists not in form, but in feeling.
It’s a reminder that the spirit follows a different path than the body. It cannot be bent by time, and it holds the power to inspire future generations.
